Field Trip on Tuesday

Nestled along the picturesque banks of the Fraser River in British Columbia, Fort Langley is a place where history comes alive. This historic site offers a unique opportunity to step back in time and explore the rich heritage of both European settlers and the Indigenous First Nations who have called this region home. In this field trip guide, we’ll provide you with essential tips to ensure a memorable and comfortable visit to Fort Langley, where you’ll discover the fascinating history of First Nations life and the fur trade era.

What to Bring

  1. Weather-Appropriate Clothing: please remember to wear warm clothes, dress in layers, waterproof shoes if its raining and a waterproof jacket.
  2. Comfortable Footwear: Exploring Fort Langley involves a fair amount of walking, so comfortable, closed-toe shoes or boots with good grip are a must.
  3. Lunch and Snacks: We will be eating a lunch at the Fort so please pack a lunch that is easily eaten outdoors. Extra snacks is recommended.

We will be leaving the school at 8:45 sharp so please be on time. We will be returning at 2:45. If you are joining us we will be arriving at the Fort by 9:30. Our tour starts at 10:00. If you have contacted me and put on the form that you are joining us then your entrance fee is covered. If you have not let me know then you are still welcome to join but you will be responsible for the entrance fee.
