We will be leaving at 9:05 sharp, so please be on time, and we will be returning to school about 11:30. Students need to bring swimsuits, towels, and life jackets (if needed). If students come to school already dressed in their swimsuit, please make sure the necessary clothes are packed to change into after swimming.
On Thursday, March 17th, students do not need to bring a lunch. I will be making green pancakes for the students to enjoy as it is St. Patrick’s Day. If your student does not want to participate they can just bring a lunch that day.
The Elementary department is doing $2 donut fundraiser for the school in Guatemala. On Friday, March 18, students can bring $2 to their teacher and at lunch they will receive a glazed donut from Safeway bakery. We have ordered enough for each student to have one donut if they wish.
Today has been a VERY exciting day. We had 5 chicks hatch, and they are soooo cute! This afternoon we had the pleasure of attending Math Mayhem in the chapel. The grade 10 and 11 students did a fantastic job of creating math games the students could play. The students LOVED it. They will be coming home with a bag of candy that they won playing the games.
3 of our chicks have hatched, one more on the way. 2 hatched during the night and the students were lucky enough to see one come out of the egg his morning. They are all very excited!
Our chicks are starting to hatch! We have our first chick to pip. This means they have made a first crack in the egg with their egg tooth. It can take up to 24 hours for the chick to hatch after they have pipped so we have a little while to wait yet, but its very exciting!!

The day for class pictures is now on Monday, March 7th. The reason for the change is that the pictures will be taken outside and the weather is supposed to still be nice on Monday but calls for rain on Tuesday. Please ensure that your student is in proper uniform. Full dress uniform is not a requirement.
