We had a great week in grade 3! We are continuing to work on arrays and multiplication in math, comparative writing and novel study in Language Arts, Thermal energy in Science, Indigenous groups in Canada for Social Studies, and hockey in Gym.

The students worked very hard this week and I hoe they have a restful weekend.

Please make sure your child has their gym shoes and gym strip. There have been a lot of students missing their shoes and or P.E. clothes.

Please remind your child that they are not to use pen in class. I have reminded them multiple times, but it has still been a bit of an issue.

Important dates:

Report Cards go home on January 29th.

Important Dates

Wednesday Jan. 20th – Jersey Day

Friday January 22nd – Early Dismissal (11:45)

  • Just a reminder that due to Covid-19 it is difficult for us to have a lot of children at the school early in the morning especially on rainy days. If at all possible could you please have your child here between 8:45-9:00. Thank you so much for your support in this.

Welcome Back!

I hope you all had a wonderful and restful holiday. I am so excited to see all the students tomorrow! It will be a bit of a tiring week I am sure as we have probably been staying up late and sleeping in (I certainly have). The first week back to school is always a bit of a transition.

On Wednesday this week, the students are invited to come to school in their PJ’s as the school met the goal for the Salvation Army food drive.

We will be getting right down to work upon return. This week we will be starting a Non Fiction writing unit, Thermal Energy unit, and begin our unit of study on Coastal First Nations peoples. We will continue working on our multiplication facts, and spelling. Our spelling list this week is M1. I will introduce it on Monday and test on Friday.
