I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for trusting me with your children. Thank you for your support all year. Thank you for the beautiful gifts and cards. I have loved this year and always love watching the students grow, learn, and love Jesus. I hope you all have the best summer!!!!

A Few Notes

Waterslides tomorrow:

Tomorrow is our field trip to Bridal Falls Waterslides. The forecast is not looking great so please pack warm clothes for your child to change into after they are done sliding, lots of snacks, and water.

Hockey Cards/Toys:

I know there are only a couple days left in the year, however, today we had some issues with hockey cards. I have told the students that they are free to bring their cards to school but I won’t be responsible if something happens to those cards.

Surprise Graduation:

On Wednesday we are having a short graduation party (It’s a surprise). If you would like to join the festivities you are welcome to come. We will be starting at 2:00. I have a slide show of pictures from the year, a certificate and their scrapbooks to give out, and then we will just mingle with music and snacks. Hope to see you. Just remember to check in at the office before you come to the classroom.

Last day of school is Thursday, it is a noon dismissal.

Balloon Pop

I hope everyone is having a very restful weekend. Happy Fathers Day to all the awesome dads!! Tomorrows balloon pop is Camp Read A lot. This is a surprise for them. Could you please ask them to bring a stuffy to school tomorrow?

The last week of school is always bitter sweet, We are all looking forward to a well deserved break but I am so sad that my time with all your lovely children is coming to an end. It has been a remarkable year and I have absolutely LOVED it!

Fun day

Sorry for the short notice but I am in need of a few parents to help out with fun day tomorrow from 9:00 until noon. If you are able to help could you please email me at avanleeuwen@highroadacademy.com. Thank you so much!

BEACH DAY

Tomorrow’s balloon was beach day. Students are invited to wear beach clothes (no bathing suits please) or their uniform. Just a reminder no spaghetti straps and shorts should be longer than wear finger tips touch legs. They can also bring a towel to lay on in the classroom if they want.
