Thank You

I don’t even know where to begin. I just want to say a huge thank you for the gifts and beautiful cards. I have been so blessed. Thank you for trusting your children to me for the past 10 months. They are a beautiful group of kids with the kindest hearts. I am so sad to let them. Have a wonderful restful Summer! I hope it is filled with beautiful moments, and memories are made that will last a lifetime.

Love Mrs. VanLeeuwen

Waterslides

Tomorrow is our waterslide field trip. The weather does not look promising but I’m sure fun will be had by all. Please remember to send a lunch, water bottle, towel, and warm change of clothes. It is unclear as to whether or not life jackets will be available so if you would like your child to wear one please send it along. I will be bringing a few from home so if you don’t have one you can use mine.

If you have any questions please send me an email.

Camp Read-A-Lot

Our balloon pop for today was camp read a lot. I have asked the students to bring a flashlight and a stuffy. They are also able to bring a headlamp if that’s what they have. If you don’t have one that is not a problem, its not required for the activities.

Fun Day

Tomorrow morning is our Fun Day. It will run from 9:15 to 12:00 and then in the afternoon we will be watching Sing 2. In the past it was a half day however, this year it is a full day of school. Students can wear Knight Wear tomorrow. It is not a themed day. If you have any questions please email me 🙂

Update

Good afternoon Parents,

We want to express our gratitude for the encouragement and support after the events of the rock climbing field trip on last Thursday. Miss Rast and I went to visit Mrs. Larsson in the hospital yesterday, she is resting comfortably, and is in good spirits. She really appreciated the cards, jokes and poems and all, that we made and took to her from the students. Keep Mrs. Larsson and her family in your prayers, as she has a long recovery ahead. As the students are processing this in their own way, we encourage you to keep the communication about all they saw and experienced, open.
