Thank you so much to the parents that offered to bring items for pizza making, we now have everything we need. On Wednesday the students will be able to eat their pizza for lunch so no need to pack one for them!
It is so wonderful that we had a weekend of sunshine! I hope you all enjoyed being outside in Gods beautiful creation. I was able to celebrate my grandmothers 81st birthday and my nephews 2nd birthday.
We had a wonderful week at school, and a fun field trip to the zoo. In our class we have been learning about shapes, ecosystems, story writing, culture, indigenous communities around the world, and Easter. We will be starting a unit on area and perimeter this week as well as learning about the fruits of the spirit.
I am still in need of some parents willing to donate some items for us to make pizza this Wednesday. Some of the items needed are:
pizza sauce
mozzarella cheese (shredded)
pepperoni slices
If you are able to donate any of these items please let me know.
Important dates:
April 28 – Interims Go Home
April 29 – Pro-D Day
Today is our zoo field trip. Please remember to be on time and dress for the weather. It is going to be a great day!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend. We have a lot happening this week so please be sure to read all the information.
Wednesday is storybook character day. Students are invited to come dressed as their favourite storybook character. If your child does not wish to participate they can come in uniform.
Thursday is our zoo field trip. We are going rain or shine so please have your child dress for the weather. This is an all day trip so please pack a lunch that is easy to eat outside. If I have any parents able to help as a group leader please send me an email.
We will not be having a spelling list this week because of the short week.
On Wednesday the 27th we will be making pizza as a class. This will tie into our unit on fractions, as well as how to writing. If you are able to bring something from the list of items below it would be greatly appreciated:
bag of shredded mozzarella
pizza sauce
pepperoni slices
You will not need to pack a lunch for your student that day as we will be eating the pizza at lunch time (unless they don’t want pizza then you will need to pack them a lunch ;).

The family tree activity that went home yesterday is a very simple one. I am only looking for grandparents, aunts, uncles, parents and siblings. If you want to do a more detailed one, you are more than welcome. This will tie into our unit on culture. Thank you!
Dear Parents,
All of the Earth Day activities that we are doing will be optional. I will not put pressure on the students to participate. If this is not something that your family can participate in please do not feel pressured to do so. I am just hoping to educate the students on sustainability. Thank you and if you have any concerns please feel free to email me.
Our class will be participating in BC Hydros Earth Day challenge. For the month of April, as a class, we will be completing different challenges to help save our planet. The first challenge is to ensure we have litterless lunches for the month of April.
Students will be encouraged to pack things in containers, thermos lunches, etc…
Thank you for your support in this. Our class will be entered to win a trip to science world and individual student prizes as well!
Our first day back was great. I hope you all had a wonderful and restful Spring Break. I also wanted to remind you that on April 13th we are having another fundraiser for Guatemala.
