Can you believe that in less than 3 weeks I have to send this beautiful class off on holidays and then on to a new teacher! This year has flown by with so so many beautiful moments. We are going to be celebrating the end with a fun balloon pop. Each day we will pop a balloon that will have a fun activity description for the next day. Todays balloon for tomorrow will be popped at the end of today.

We will have our last spelling list of the year and it will be tested on Friday. Here are the words:

We are excited for our Greenhouse Fundraiser on Friday! We will have basketball games to watch as well as some interactive skills challenges for the younger ones between games. There will be pizza for sale as well as concession treats! Due to this even being outside of school hours, all students Grade 6 and under must either be accompanied by an adult or by a sibling/family friend Grade 9 or older. We hope to see you and your family there!  

Here is the last Readers Theatre. I am so sorry that the beginning is missing but I did not press record. I did not have the heart to ask them to start over.

Just a reminder that tomorrow (Wednesday, May 18th) is Jeans Day. Jeans Day donations go to BC Children’s Hospital. To wear jeans, students can donate $5 through the office, not to the class, and you will be given a sticker showing that you have donated.

Hello Parents, We are excited for our Family Movie Night Fundraiser on Saturday. Our K-6 geared movie will be

“Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”. All students Grade 6 and under will need a parent (or adult) to attend with

them as this is not a drop off event. Doors open 5:30pm and the movie is from 6-7:30pm. We will have snacks

such as candy, chips, juice boxes, pop etc… for sale at the concession to raise money for our Greenhouse Project!

Admission is $5 which includes popcorn!

Movie Night
Saturday, May 14th we will be having a movie night to raise money for our Greenhouse!
We have two movies gears towards two different age groups. Bring your friends and family and come join us. Both movies will be shown in the school gym; feel free to bring a blanket and cozy up for the movie.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 
K-Grade 6 (geared) goes from 5:30-7:30pm (doors open at 5:30, movie starts at 6:00).

National Treasure
Grade 7-12 (geared) goes from 7:30-10:00pm (doors open at 7:30, movie starts at 8:00).

You are more than welcome to come for both movies!

Admission is $5 per person (kids aged 2 and under are free) and includes one bag of popcorn.
There will be a concession stand with lots of treats for sale to benefit the Greenhouse.
We are so excited to finally come together as a community and have fun – hope to see you there!

Can you believe we only have 6 weeks of school left! I can’t believe how quickly this year went. This week we have been working on readers theatre, a Math zoo project, cultures, ecosystems, and story writing. The students have been working hard and I’m sure are happy for the rest.

This weeks readers theatre is brought to you by Averi, Landon, Jayna, Kyara, Nathan, Leia, and Elliot. They performed Cinderella and did a fantastic job! We are learning how to read with expression and project our voices.

Next week will be a new group of students performing a different play. (I had to do this as a YouTube video because the file was too large for edublog. This video is NOT visible on YouTube. It is on my account as unlisted).

Tomorrow is superhero dress up. Students can dress as their favourite superhero. Please no weapons of any kind, plastic or otherwise. For students that choose not to dress up they may wear their uniforms.
