I can’t believe November is upon us. Here are some important dates coming up:
November 10- Remembrance Day Assembly 10:30
November 11- Remembrance Day- no school
November 15th – November 17 – Scholastic Book Fair
November 16- Parent Teacher Interviews (no school for students)
November 23- Jersey Day (wear a jersey for your favourite sports team)
November 25- Professional Development Day- no school

Parent teacher interviews are coming up and I m looking forward to talking with you about all we have been learning and your students strengths and areas of growth. The interviews are on November 16th. You can follow the link below to sign up for a time. If the 16th does not work for you I am happy to meet on an alternate day.

HI Parents
If you paid to attend the Apple Barn field trip you can go to the office for a refund. We are not going to rebook the trip as they had no space left this year. I hope the students had fun on the pumpkin day we had at school.
Tomorrow students are invited to wear fall coloured casual clothing.
It is so wonderful to see rain! I never thought I would say that. We try to get the students out as much as possible so that means that students will be out sometimes in a light drizzle. Please send a jacket with your child to school.
Your child should have brought home the map of their bedroom they have completed. I was pleased with the effort that the students put in.
I am so proud of these kids. They were told a day before they were supposed to go to the pumpkin patch that their field trip was cancelled. They all handled it so well! They were so gracious. I hope they had a fun day today. We had pumpkin painting, pumpkin pie in a cup, and pumpkin games. There were a lot of smiles!
Due to the heavy smoke and poor air quality, we have to CANCEL our field trip to the Apple Barn tomorrow. We are currently making an alternate plan, more details to come. Students may still wear play clothes for the day. I know the kids will be disappointed, however we will make the best of it and still have a fabulous day! Thank you so much for your understanding.
Our field trip to Taves Family Apple Barn is this Thursday. It has come so quickly! Please remember to pack a lunch that your child will be able to eat easily outdoors. We will be eating our lunches at the Apple Barn on the picnic tables. Students can wear play clothes. It is not supposed to rain and should not be muddy so boots are not necessary. Please send a plastic or cloth bag that your child can put their pumpkin in.
If you have stated that you will be meeting us at the pumpkin patch, please remember to pay for your admission at the school office.
