The students will be making their own advent wreath next week. I am in need of toilet paper rolls. If you have some hanging around it would be most appreciated if you would send them in. I have a few left from the last craft but will need quite a few more.
Our week has ended with a VERY wet day. The students have worked very hard this week. We began multiplication with making equal groups. the students have done very well. Next week we will move on to making arrays. I love our multiplication unit as it lends itself to some very fun activities.
In Language Arts we have been working on making our sentences more interesting by using linking words. We have also been working on Grammar and reading passages about animals. Many of the students are very close to completing their booklet and will be moving on to a novel studies.
In Science we will be finishing up our unit on biodiversity. The students have been exploring food chains this week. Next week I will be assessing what we know as well as talking about biodiversity in our local area.
In Socials we will continue learning about the 6 Indigenous groups in Canada before European settlers arrived.
In Bible we are continuing to complete our Bible Scavenger hunts as a way to learn to navigate the Bible. We are also working on our new Bible memory verse which is Luke 2: 8-14 in anticipation for Christmas.
Just a reminder to sign up for Parent Teacher meetings which will take place on November 16th.
