The students have been working so hard these past few weeks, and it has really shown in their work. We have started arrays in Math, and have begun talking about multiplication. I can’t believe how quickly they are all catching on! In Language Arts we have been working on personal narratives and our novel study. Next week we will be continuing with personal narrative and readers theatre. The play they will be preforming is The Elves and the Shoemaker. In Social Studies we are learning about culture. The students are working on a culture flap book to identify aspects of their own culture. In Science we are learning about atoms and molecules. Today we made molecules using candy and marshmallows (All following Covid protocols).
Please continue supporting your child in reading. Many of the students are forgetting to bring in their home reading and this is causing some setbacks in their progress.
Hopefully the monsoon weather subsides and the students can enjoy some much needed fresh air. Please remind them to bring a warm jacket, we try to get them out as much as possible.
